Technically, College Point was in Queens, a borough of New York City, but you'd never know it from looking at this small-town setting. Up until the introduction of the Zip Code, residents often addressed their mail as coming from"College Point, LI", the "LI" standing for Long Island, instead of "College Point, NY."
