The little Sun Child in front of Yule Log

The Yule Log - central gold candle represents the Sun Child

One of the directional altars. Central fire candle, two pinecone shaped candles which are already half-melted, bookended by two coffee bean candles (gifts of Calamere).

A group pose of the four directional candles. They're made of glass voltives, appropriately colored candles & wax, and water dyed with food coloring - nothing more, yet highly effective.

Riannon-Lia and Dumuzzi bought this vine & branch pentacle in a Tarrytown, NY shop and decorated it with twinkle lights for the season.

This little artifical tree was used for the gift-giving section of the ritual.

Here's the main altar. Central tree is a live rosemary bush topped with another depiction of the Sun Child, which was crafted by Dumuzzi for the occasion. What appears to be a black can with green/red ribbons to the right is a makeshift maracha. Pour dried beans into an empty soda can, seal off the opening with tape, and decorate the can. Voila - maracha!

The day after, the Rosemary bush with Sun Child was placed in the bay window to wait for Spring when it will be planted in the backyard.
