FULL MOON We did a pumpkin spell dedicated to Oshun! We stuffed a pumpkin (actually a gourd) full of gold leaf, coins, spices, honey and other good stuff that Oshun likes. To complete the spell we had to let the stuffed pumpkin sit for 15 days and then toss it into a river. Dumuzzi had the honor - he took it up to Tinker Creek in Woodstock, New York and gave it the heave-ho. No, those aren't other pumpkins in the creek, just rocks. FULL MOON, following year We did another pumpkin spell dedicated to Oshun the following year. This time we used an authentic pumpkin instead of a gourd. We tossed it into the East River of New York City fame. The pumpkin had sat for longer than 15 days, and by toss-time had acquired a bit of a, ummm, gooey character.
